Peter Frampton is Alive in concert!

One of the amazing stories about Peter: that beautiful black Les Paul was lost in a plane crash and recovered decades later--and restored.

Dickey Betts and Vassar Clements: Hempstead, NY, 1974

Dickey Betts on guitar and Vassar Clements on fiddle did a fine show for a radio audience on Nov. 3, 1974, at the Ultrasonic Sound Studios in Hempstead, NY. That's Oscar Underwood Adams on mandolin, and Stray Straton on bass. Bonnie Bramlett also did background vocals at this show. Here is the opening instrumental, plus two requests that any Allman Brothers fan would know: "Pony Boy" and "Blue Sky." Picking and playing at its finest!
